muteadinCharacter's name: Vindicator Nehaalista the Kindly of Shattrath
Character's canon: World of Warcraft/Warcraft Universe
Brief (around 300 words) personality outline of your character:
Nehaalista is fairly genial, noble, and fits the role of Vindicator of her people rather well. Well, for a mute, anyway. She does not like Death Knights, demons, undead, or any combination of them, nor does she tolerate disrespect for her people. This often works in her favor, as most are flabbergasted at an angry, seven-foot-tall Draenei woman gesturing wildly at them. She is a little prudish in public, and doesn't understand why people in Stormwind go out of their way to embarrass themselves. She reckons that it's probably something in the Azerothian air that made half of her race nudist lunatics and idiots after the Exodar crashed on Azuremyst Isle.
With her friends, Nehaalista loosens up and can tease, banter and offer advice on different problems with the best of them. Questions and comments are usually made in fast-flying sign language, which (as Nehaa becomes more excited or flustered) often becomes muddled or hard to read. She often needs to be reminded to write things down for people who cannot sign. Because of her inability to speak, Nehaalista has been told that she is almost too-politic, as it becomes hard to read what she's actually thinking when she writes things down. She instantly rejects flattery on account of insecurities with her disability. Despite this, Nehaalista is still considered to be in the running for an advancement to Exarch sometime in her future. Nehaalista is also a little vain, and is fond of wearing jeweled headbands and curling her hair despite the fact that she spends much of her time in platemail. She shares the same love of shiny that all of her people do.
When properly motivated (and by properly, I mean, 'something is trying to kill her'), Nehaalista is a storm of magic and sheer physical force. Because of the many decades of training (as Draenei do not age as humans do), she rarely loses her cool against an opponent. However, she does have difficulty giving orders on the battlefield (because really, how is a mute going to yell?).
As the Draenei people have diminished considerably over time, Nehaalista nearly breaks out in hives when the suggestion she settle down and marry comes around. At such junctures, Nehaalista pretends that she is deaf, as well.

Nehaalista will be cut off roughly after entering Northrend again from Valiance Keep. To date (as far as the server is concerned), the Lich King has been defeated with the new Lich King, Bolvar Fordragon, now in Arthas's place, keeping the Scourge under control. No one knows it's Bolvar. Most people are busy with forays into Icecrown and Ulduar.
If the character has magic, mutant, or otherwise metahuman abilities, please explain what they are and outline EXACTLY how they function, as their powers may not work due to the nature of the ship or may need to be limited somehow: Nehaalista's inability to speak is a special case. Though she's never been able to do so, she and her family have tried numerous concoctions, elixirs, potions, Gnomish and Goblin devices, magical spells and other things "guaranteed to work" to fix her voice and make her speak. While she can hear someone speak into her mind, she cannot speak out of it to them.
As a Paladin and Vindicator of the Light, Nehaalista uses the abilities granted to her to do the following: smite undead and demons, protect, cleanse and purify others of poisons, diseases and magical effects.

She generally uses the following in battle: Judgements of Light, Wisdom and Justice (which give her life, mana, and keep her humanoid enemies from running away from her wrath respectively). These judgments manifest as giant, transparent hammers which ram themselves into the face of her enemies.
To protect herself when she is too weak, she can manifest a bubble of light that is impenetrable to damage. Unfortunately, this bubble only lasts about 10 seconds.
Nehaalista can also heal and support others, with spells like Greater Blessing/Blessing of Kings/Might/Sanctuary (which improves a person over all, improves their attack, or mitigates some damage while increasing their strength) Flash of Light (a healing spell), Healing Touch, Cleanse, Purify (pretty much do exactly what they're named after).
Like all Draenei, Nehaalista is blessed with the Gift of the Naaru, which manifests as a glowing sigil on her forehead. This sigil can either heal herself, or heal another person. It cannot be used often.
Non-superhuman special abilities of note (Is your character a master ventriloquist? A naturally-occurring super-genius? The best martial artist in the world? Say so here): Nehaalista is a Master Jeweler and Miner.
